How consumers in the EU can withdraw from a codai subscription or prepaid credit purchase within 14 days, using the withdrawal function on this page.

Summary in plain words
- If you are a consumer, you can withdraw from a subscription or a prepaid credit (top-up) purchase within 14 days of buying it, without giving a reason.

- We refund the unused part within 14 days, to the payment method you used. Usage you already consumed after asking us to start immediately is not refundable.
01Your right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer (a natural person acting outside your trade, business or profession), you have the right to withdraw from a contract for a codai subscription or prepaid credit within 14 days without giving any reason (Directive 2011/83/EU; in Romania, OUG 34/2014). The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day the contract was concluded — the day of your purchase.
Business customers (companies, sole traders and professionals) do not have a statutory right of withdrawal.
02How to withdraw
Use the withdrawal function below (OUG 34/2014 art. 11¹, Directive (EU) 2023/2673): enter your name, the e-mail address of your codai account and the reference of the subscription, invoice or top-up you are withdrawing from, then press "Confirm withdrawal". We immediately send you an acknowledgement on a durable medium (e-mail) with the content of your statement and the date and time it was received.
You may also send an unequivocal statement by e-mail to [email protected], or use the EU model withdrawal form (Annex 1 to OUG 34/2014). It is enough that you send your statement before the 14-day period ends.
03Effects of withdrawal
- We reimburse all payments received from you for the withdrawn contract without undue delay and at the latest within 14 days of the day we receive your statement, using the same means of payment you used, unless you expressly agree otherwise. You pay no fee for the reimbursement.
- Subscription: the subscription is cancelled and paid features end; we refund the price minus the value of usage already supplied at your request during the withdrawal period, in proportion to what was supplied.
- Prepaid credit: we refund the credit that has not been used. Credit already consumed is not refunded (see the next section).
- Promotional credit (welcome or referral credit) has no cash value and is removed, not refunded.
04Consumed usage and immediate performance
Model usage and credit are digital content and services supplied immediately. At checkout we ask you to tick an unticked box to request that performance starts right away and to acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal for the part already supplied (OUG 34/2014 art. 16 lit. m). We record that acceptance with your order and confirm it in the receipt. Usage consumed after that request is therefore non-refundable, because the third-party model cost is incurred at the moment of each request.
05Other refunds and complaints
Outside the withdrawal period, consumed usage is final. If you believe you were charged in error, write to [email protected]; we answer within 14 days. If we cannot resolve a complaint together, you may turn to ANPC and its alternative dispute resolution platform (SAL) at reclamatiisal.anpc.ro.
