How billing works
A subscription, a usage pool, a task budget — and one price per extra success.
You pay a fixed monthly price, get a usage pool and verified tasks included, and only pay more when codai delivers more. Every plan has a hard monthly spending ceiling.
Pick a plan
Each plan is a flat monthly (or yearly) price billed through Stripe. Free needs no card; BYOK starts with a trial and a card on file.
Use your pool and included tasks
The pool pays for chat and model usage at token rates; included tasks cover verified agent work. Lite chat never touches either.
€1.20 per extra verified task
Once the included tasks are used, each additional task that codai verifiably completed is billed €1.20 — whichever frontier model the router picked. Unusually large tasks (above €1.20 of model usage) are billed for the excess at standard token rates.
Unconfirmed work is paid from your pool
A task that is neither verified nor confirmed is paid from your pool or wallet at the token rate, never with the flat task fee.
You confirm: “Did codai solve it?”
When tests or the harness cannot prove success, codai asks you in the hub, the CLI or the desktop app. A one-tap “yes” makes it a verified task; “no” means you are not billed the flat rate.
Cancel anytime
Downgrade, upgrade or cancel from the hub in one click. Changes are prorated and included tasks reset with each billing cycle.
Prices are in EUR. Consumer prices include VAT; business plans are quoted excluding VAT. Every paid charge gets a fiscal invoice (PDF) issued through Brivio; refunds get a credit note.
Wallet
Wallet packs for the in-between.
Top up a wallet in euros and codai draws from it once your plan’s pool and tasks are used: €1.20 per verified success (plus any usage above a task’s cap at token rates) and other usage at the token rate. Turn on auto top-up so agents never stall mid-task.
Unused prepaid credit can be withdrawn within 14 days of purchase (consumer right of withdrawal, OUG 34/2014 — see /withdrawal). Credit already spent on tasks is not refunded.
